The Gregor Way: Challenging the conventional and raising standards

Starting off in the early 1980’s and based in Edinburgh, Scotland’s world famous capital city, family firm, Gregor Properties ambitions pointed towards creating a viable forward thinking property company which would ultimately make a significant impact on the property scene. And that it did…from humble beginnings, upgrading small first-time buyer tenement flats to the completion of “Platinum Point”, an iconic contemporary apartment block on the waterfront in Leith.

By the 1990’s commercial development had become an important part of the Gregor portfolio and it was at this time that the Gregor Group emerged, combining both divisions in preparation for increased activity in what was expected to be a decade of real growth in property as a whole. The firm were being approached by various important investor/construction consortia to collaborate in some exciting development ventures; the Gregor family carefully considered the direction they wished to go----and the ten years from 1995 – 2008 (recession) were prolific.

Upwards of 2,000 residential dwellings were completed, many of which were restoration & development projects from Listed Buildings, for which the Group became market leaders in certain sectors, to the aforementioned new-build- today much admired for its radical architectural design. In between, several extensive commercial projects had been completed successfully becoming an important asset base for the Group.

Following several years of consolidation during the downtown, the Gregor Group are back, active again in the commercial & residential property scene. The company are keen to hear of development opportunities in either category.
